Quality

All sections, members, welds and manufactured parts are subject to SDF in-house quality program. The process starts by reviewing the shop drawings by our Plant Manager and the Quality Team. All work methods and means are reviewed with the in-house Engineering Staff. Once production starts, the Quality Technicians survey the work while in progress. Fabricated sections are checked dimensionally to verify conformance with the specified tolerance and all consumables are used to duplicate the penetration and mechanical properties of the welds. At the client request and as specified, additonal testing such as ultrasound, magnetic particle and x-ray testing can be arranged. The final product is checked and verified again before the product leaves the plant. Our field personnel are also trainged to keep the highest standards of workmanship and quality. Our plant is certified by the Canadian Welding Bureau, Division 1. All welders and quality team are certifed by C.S.A. Standards.
